The Vocational College are the largest independent provider
of Glass & Glazing NVQ'S. They deliver training programmes
that have been designed to meet the needs of our employees
and provide them with quality training towards nationally
recognised qualifications in the glazing industry.

The NVQ provides training & development in essential areas
of Fabrication. The majority of staff working in Fabrication are
undertaking an NVQ. The programme runs from 12 months to
2 years. Assessments are carried out on site and Assessors
meet with all employees regularly to advise & assist with all
areas of the NVQ. The NVQ also shows that employees have
the knowledge to do the job effectively and to show that they
are competent within the area of the work the NVQ represents.

As part of the foundation modern apprenticeship and the
advanced modern apprenticeship schemes, each learner is
required to undertake Key Skills qualification. Communication,
application of number, I.T, working with others, these all make
up the vital skills for the Key Skills qualification. Key Skills are
seen as an important tool for businesses as it teaches the
employees basic skills of communication, I.T and maths.
